Hello

Hi! My name is Mylan, and I created Mylan’s Shoe Closet to help students who are being teased because of their shoes, whose parents may not have the money to buy new ones, or who may be experiencing homelessness. I saw this happening at my school and wanted to do something to support my classmates and their families.

As part of my service learning project through the Ignite Your Impact program, I launched Mylan’s Shoe Closet at East Iredell Middle School in Statesville, NC. The closet provides clean, properly fitting shoes to students in need—because everyone deserves to feel confident and comfortable.
