About the event
Affordable Housing Awareness Month (AHAM) is a regional call to action that brings together residents, nonprofit leaders, housing professionals, public officials, and community advocates to address one of the most urgent challenges facing our communities today. This year’s theme, The State of Affordable Housing: Living in a Housing Cost Burden Society, recognizes the growing reality that many families must spend a significant portion of their income simply to maintain stable housing.
Hosted by Affordable Housing For The Carolinas, AHAM creates space for meaningful dialogue, community engagement, and collective action. The month highlights both the progress made and the work that remains to ensure housing is safe, stable, and attainable for families across our region.
