Today, we want to share the story of Mr. Henderson, a proud retired Vietnam Veteran and a participant in our Ounce of Prevention Program. Like many, he faced the challenges of maintaining a safe and livable home while looking to age in place.
During his home inspection, our team discovered a faulty electrical wire in the main panel box, an issue that could have caused a fire, explosion, or serious injury to anyone in the home. Thanks to the inspection, we were able to safely repair the electrical wiring, preventing a potentially life threatening situation.
Stories like Mr. Henderson’s are at the heart of why we do this work. They remind us that every home repair, every donation, and every volunteer hour has the power to change lives.
